JASPER, Tenn. — Valmont Industries will invest $45 million and create 84 new jobs to further expand its Marion County facility in Jasper, Gov. Bill Lee and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development announced Oct. 23. The expansion will increase production of engineered steel transmission, distribution and substation structures for the utility industry.

The project builds on a 2024 expansion in which Valmont committed to 80 jobs and more than $6 million in investment, a jobs goal the state says the company met nearly three years early. Since 2019, Valmont has run a welding pre-apprenticeship program with local high schools, and more than 80 students have completed it. The Omaha-based company employs more than 11,000 people in 21 countries. The Tennessee Valley Authority and Marion County Government partnered on the project. The release does not describe any state incentives.
