COLUMBIA, S.C. — SteelFab Inc., a Charlotte-based fabricator of structural steel and steel products, will invest $30 million in a new Richland County facility at 1030 Metso Way, creating 100 new jobs, the South Carolina Department of Commerce announced Oct. 27. Operations are expected to be online by the end of 2026.
The facility will add manufacturing capacity for the construction industry. SteelFab runs 18 U.S. facilities, four of them in South Carolina. Richland County Council Chairwoman Jesica Mackey said the project brings an underutilized building back into manufacturing use. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project. The release does not give a dollar value for the credits.
