BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. — Silco Fire & Security has broken ground on a $6.4 million facility in Bullitt County that is expected to create 20 new jobs within three years, with the potential to grow to 64 jobs in the future, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Oct. 21.
The facility will bring Silco's Louisville-area teams together under one roof and support 45 existing employees. Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2027. In April, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved a 15-year agreement that can provide up to $2 million in tax incentives, tied to targets of at least 64 Kentucky-resident full-time jobs paying an average of $53.74 an hour, including benefits. Bullitt County officials credited work with the Pioneer Village City Council in bringing the project to the north end of the county.
