ORLEANS, Ind. — River View Farms will build a 60,000-square-foot egg grading and packaging facility in Orleans, creating up to 63 new jobs by the end of 2029, Gov. Mike Braun announced Oct. 15.
The new plant will double the egg grading capacity of the fifth-generation, family-owned agricultural business, according to the announcement. The egg facility is expected to be finished later this year, followed by a swine breeding facility and a biosecurity vehicle wash. The new jobs will be spread across the company's egg and swine operations in rural Orange County. The announcement does not include a dollar figure for the investment and does not mention state incentives.
