FRANKFORT, Ky. — Nissin International Transport U.S.A. plans a new distribution center in Franklin County, a $14.3 million investment creating 30 jobs, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Oct. 29. The center, at Franklin County Industrial Park 3 off US 60 and Duncan Road, will be the company's first Kentucky operation. It will mainly support the production work of Toyota-affiliated suppliers, offering warehousing, depot storage, unpacking and assembly support for automotive parts.

The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissin Corporation of Tokyo. In September, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved a 10-year incentive agreement worth up to $500,000 in tax incentives. It requires the company to create and keep 30 full-time, Kentucky-resident jobs at an average hourly wage of $30 including benefits. The release gives no construction or opening dates.
