ITT Goulds Pumps Puts $31 Million Into a Memphis Plant, Adding 57 Jobs

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — ITT Goulds Pumps will invest $31 million and create 57 new jobs at a new manufacturing and distribution center at 5633 Mineral Wells Road in Memphis, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development announced Oct. 19. It is the company's first Tennessee location.

The state says the company's existing distribution center in Southaven, Miss., has outgrown its space, and the Memphis site will add capacity, improve inventory availability and speed responses to customer demand. The release does not say whether any Southaven positions will move. The Tennessee Valley Authority, EDGE, Memphis Light, Gas and Water and the Greater Memphis Chamber are named as partners. The release gives no square footage, opening date or incentive amounts.
