HOLLYWOOD, Ala. — Helix Electric, a California-based electrical contractor, has broken ground on a $45.3 million Advanced Fabrication Campus in Jackson County that will create 160 jobs, Gov. Kay Ivey announced Oct. 27. Chief executive Boris Shekhter placed the site in Hollywood, Alabama.
The campus will manufacture prefabricated electrical components and large modular electrical assemblies, including underground duct banks, duct bank risers, hangers, electrical devices and modular electrical skids. The company says the site will put manufacturing closer to its existing teams and East Coast customers. Jackson County is a designated Target County. The release does not mention state or local incentives, wages or an opening date.
