BURNS FLAT, Okla. — Oklahoma has appropriated $7.5 million for a hangar, office building and supporting facilities for Dawn Aerospace at the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport, the former Clinton-Sherman Airport.

The New Zealand company plans to fly its Mk-II Aurora suborbital spaceplane from the site starting in 2027. The state says construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2026. The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics approved the project in May as part of a $520 million airport capital plan. The state has not released job numbers.
