FRANKLIN, Pa. — The Conair Group, a supplier of auxiliary equipment and systems for plastics processors, will invest $9.75 million to expand its manufacturing operations in Franklin, creating 126 new jobs over the next three years and retaining 273 existing full-time positions.

The company, part of Piovan Group North America, will lease a 157,760-square-foot building at 325 Buffalo Street that Joy Manufacturing occupied until it ceased operations in 2017. The site will add fabrication, machining and powder coating, with fabrication expected to begin in early 2027. Conair's primary facility at 455 Allegheny Boulevard has reached capacity and will continue assembling products. The state is providing $845,000 in grants: $805,000 from Pennsylvania First and $40,000 from WEDNetPA for worker training. Pennsylvania competed against other states for the project, including Ohio and West Virginia.
