FORT WORTH, Texas — Carrier Global Corp. plans to invest more than $600 million over the next three years in a new advanced manufacturing and engineering center in Fort Worth, the company announced Oct. 22. Carrier says the investment will create 1,500 advanced manufacturing, engineering and other jobs.
The more than 1-million-square-foot facility will make thermal management systems, including air- and water-cooled commercial chillers, for data center, health care, education and industrial customers. Carrier expects to begin operations in 2027 and says it chose Fort Worth for its skilled workforce, manufacturing base and strategic location. Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker said the project will add to the city's manufacturing hub at AllianceTexas. Carrier's release does not describe any state or local incentives.
